One of the older online casinos, and still one of the best. In the 2004 Gambling Online magazine awards, Omni Casino racked up five firsts and three seconds. The five firsts were for best online casino, editor's pick, top payouts, quickest payouts, and top rewards program. The second place awards were for top casino reputation, top casino software, top casino group. So I went in expecting to deal with a top flight operation.
I'll save you the suspense - I wasn't disappointed. So, if you're impatient, you could just skip straight to the end of the review now. Those of you who want to find out more, or just can't get enough of my deathless prose can read on.
The software looks good (an important consideration when you play about six hours of blackjack or video poker in a day) and is easy to navigate and they even provide a basic strategy table. It runs quickly, without any noticeable glitches, even on my old machine.
Cashouts are quick... once you get your PIN number by snail-mail, the world's slowest and least secure means of communication. Support is 24/7, but like a lot of big places varies in quality (a lot of the drones seem to lack an in depth understanding of casino games and online gambling - but then that's not surprising, big call centers are usually hell on earth).
Omni casino cover all the important bases as far as I am concerned (craps, blackjack, and video poker). They have a decent selection of slots, but that really doesn't do it for me. Multi-player blackjack might be slower, but it removes a bit of the boredom (and if you do it with people you know, you can do a little card counting, although I don't think the edge is that noticeable.
Overall, Omni is a good casino, it's just a shame that their bonus is so stingy (although at least it is positive, I have seem some shockers recently).
